Mr. Baxter is now the bassist (and occasional 2nd guitarist) for The Travelin' Bombastics, featuring ex-members of Red Wanting Blue. Recording and tour dates forthcoming. Stay tuned for details. Mr. Baxter was most recently filling in on the bass for swamp-rockers, Danballah, which followed a two-plus year stint as bassist for Suspect Earth that saw the release of their album, Hard To Drag in 2007 on BoFi Recordings. He has has since moved on to a couple of very special projects which will be named later. So keep watching this page for updates.

Other items on the table
The writing of music is a never-ending process, kind of like eating and sleeping, thereby making an album of new Skid Baxter music that much closer to becoming a reality.  Asked about what people should expect, Mr. Baxter stated "hopefully, people will think something completely different after hearing it than what they thought before they heard it."

Re-issues coming soon!
Due to unrelenting requests, pestering and nagging, Highway to Corn and Peanut Hell (1995 - UBM 1802) is being remstered and made available on CD for the first time. This is the one that started it all...the one your parents warned you about. Also slated for re-issue is Tongue Tracks In Ice Cream (2003 - UBM 1806). This and more coming to you soon.
